Born June 2021 - Bundles of Joy - 8 weeks old

                            SUMMER - DCE

So here we are in June 2021 DCE (During Covid Era) and we've had some weather but who would have thought that lightening strikes twice in the same place(not us or Zoe)! Anyway, it did on June 9th and Zoe had another litter of 9, yes I said NINE puppies, 8 females & 1 male. All are healthy, rambunctious and keeping Mama Zoe on her toes!

Skye (f), Mustard (f) and Snow (f)

Ash (f & SOLD), Jett (M) and Scarlett (f)

Violet (f) Rose (f) and Ivy (f & SOLD)

Born June 2020 - Litter Update....Hooray, we are 1 year old!

Summer 2021 - and we are 1 year old!

This is Bandit! He is one of the 9 puppies from Zoe’s second litter. If we were to describe Bandit in a few words we would say that he is the best thing to come into our lives. Especially during a time like COVID, he filled our lives with lots of laughs and love. He has taught us to be patient, especially during potty training and compassionate when teaching him how to roll-over. His favourite things to do are chase squirrels, chewing sticks and giving all of his friends lots of kisses. He can be the smartest person in the room, especially when he is on the hunt to find his toys. He is the king of playing tag at the dog park and loves to spend his afternoons sunbathing on the deck. But, if you ever want to try and get a stick from him — good luck because he is running for the hills. We hope you love your Mini-Bordoodle as much as we do because Bandit has definitely changed our lives for the better.

Daisy, who knew when you came into our lives a year ago you would become our faithful, loving companion, alert watchdog and the source of endless activities? Our non-shedding border doodle. Is not only easy on our allergies, she is also whip smart! She easily earned the label of ‘over achiever’ from our trainer as she  rapidly mastered all of the correct behaviors to become a well-mannered pup. So eager was she to learn that we made home made agility courses for her to run through in the yard. Daisy is spending her current days at the cottage.  She goes on daily walks with her local ‘pack’. She spots them from a distance then grabs her leash to wait at the door for them to approach her driveway. With her instincts and intelligence, we’re hoping to take her to some group training sessions in the Fall. Best wishes to anyone lucky enough to have one of Zoe and Angus’ pups in their home.

Ghostie is good, she is very active with lots of personality. She loves playing frisbee and she is currently learning  to choose between ‘ball’ and ’frisbee’.

Izzie is a wonderful companion.  She loves to play and knows her toys by name!  She is very curious and wants to know what is going on all the time.   We are finally able to get out and about where she enjoys meeting new people and playing with other dogs.

- Kim F.R.

Nova has been a sweet, smart and special addition to the family. He loves going boating, hiking through the woods, swimming in lakes and small rivers, and loves to play with our boys. Games like "dig a hole in our garden" and "pull my sock off" seem to be especially interesting to him but less to us! He is able to high five, fetch, jump over, turn around and lie down. The best part of his first year is finding a puppy girlfriend.

Riley is the perfect pet. House training took literally 24 hours after bringing her home(Thank you Thornhill Bordoodles!) Her BC wants to be outside often. Gentle but curious always. Likes independence but knows a good cuddle when it is needed. The Poodle part of her is so playful.

@rileyontherunway

A very good communicator: She Tells us when she needs to go out. ‘Talks’ AT us when it is time to play!
Sleeps to our schedule: 10:30 last ‘walk’(2min) -wakes up around 8:00 am

She is excellent with her commands: (Start with the ‘come’ command as soon as possible-Riley only comes with “Cookies” command!

Sweet, gentle natured, athletic. She loves walks, a good rawhide bone and park play with other dogs- all sizes! She is beginning agility training and well trained.

Riley-20lbs(20”Hx20”Long)

Diet - Merrick Backcountry WITH GRAINS please! Avoid Grain Free diets for your dog!!
(We mix the Backcountry flavours monthly for variety: M1-Chicken,M2-Salmon, M3 Beef, M4 Chicken) And sometimes Purina ProPlan (chicken -shredded) to accommodate her acceptance if it is difficult to find the Merrick.

This is our Sadie who we call “Slim Shady”. She earned the nickname because of her long, slim legs and the way she follows us around like our shadow.  She loves to be outdoors and go for really long walks, or just hang out in the backyard digging holes to bury her toys or chill by the fire. She isn’t a fan of the blender, salad spinner or anything with wheels (bikes, scooters, strollers) so our walks can be challenging at times. Her biggest fear is walking past a sewer! Despite her very independent nature, she loves to snuggle and gives kisses on command. To say she’s made our home happier would be an understatement. She’s our best friend and we love her 🥰

It's Kismet!

We have 5 gorgeous, healthy Mini-Bordoodles available for sale to caring owners.

3 girls and 2 boys born October 13, 2018.

Mostly black with a small white `soul patch`and some have white toes and splash of white chest fur.  Their puppy coat is fluffy and low to no shedding.  Please see pics on the "Current Litter" page.  As I am writing they have just reached 7 weeks old and already most of them are paper trained!

Each puppy comes vet-checked, de-wormed, all vaccinations and micro-chipped, full grown weight 20-27 lbs. This rare breed, from these two very special dogs is guaranteed to yield exceptional family companions.

But, wait...there's more.....

Segue for a moment to my childhood, growing up on a beef cattle farm north of Toronto where my Dad has bred and raised working Border Collies. A well established lineage of bright, hard-working dogs has evolved and so too has a waiting list for each litter. Two years ago he and I decided to purchase, Angus, a very special male stud to service his females and our Zoe when she matured. Angus comes from world class stock, his great grandfather Mirk, won the Calgary Stampede World Stock Dog Championship in 2015 - besting a field of over 100 world`s brightest and fittest dogs.  Angus is still 2yrs old and has matured into a highly intelligent, obedient and exceedingly affectionate adult with a silky black and white coat.

We found Zoe!

Further digging revealed that most Bordoodle breeders were on the West Coast which was a deal-breaker for us living in southern Ontario as we wanted to first check out the puppy and his family before bringing this new, life-long pal into our family.  The few breeders in Ontario were breeding Standard size Poodles with Border Collies and the resulting offspring would generally weigh upwards of 60 lbs when full-grown,  which was a much larger pet than we wanted.  In the end we decided to play the long game and found a beautiful pure-bred Mini-Poodle with the future goal of breeding our own Bordoodle to be small enough to comfortably fit in our home...a Mini-BordoodleZoe, our Mini-Poodle, has been a terrific companion for all of us.  She is affectionate and calm indoors although very athletic when we take her to the park.  She loves to sprint after a tennis ball or frisbee and waits gleefully each afternoon for her daily romp.   Her intelligence is a frequent source of surprise and delight.  It took us a few months to recognize her extensive vocabulary, a range of different, mostly single, short barks; eg.  our friend at the door, her friend at the door (another Border Collie `Beau`), want to go outside, want to come inside, food/water bowl is empty, alert! stranger outside.....  She has bonded with each member of our extended family and has joyfully welcomed former friends even after not seeing them in over two years!
